Vectorworks Braceworks structural analysis software.

In 2016, I was asked by Vectorworks’ Claire Masters, the marketing coordinator for the entertainment industry, to give a presentation at the LDI conference on my rigging workflow while drafting in Vectorworks. At the conclusion of my presentation, I was then asked by their software engineers if I would be interested in beta testing a new plug-in called Braceworks. Of course, I was honored and accepted immediately. Fast forward to the present day, our firm, “On the Hook,” performs weight calculations on over 100 shows a year, with two CAD stations operating full-time, utilizing both Braceworks and Production Assistant software. We also own a complete line of Broadweigh load cells, which enables us to compare our software results with real-world weights. The results have been quite impressive, demonstrating the software’s remarkable accuracy when used correctly. I think that’s good.
